Cool. First time I saw PF was at JFK in Philly 9/19/87 – this is the exact set they played with the exception of early in the tour, Echoes opened the show and they did a surprise 2nd encore of SOYCD I-V. I was a mere 16 years old, sailing on Annapolis dirt weed that my buddies cousin brought along – didn’t matter to me how crappy the grass was, at 16 I was just glad to be stoned at a Pink Floyd concert. History may not treat this era of Floyd fondly, but I do. Can’t help it, I had a hell of an experience with this band that night in Philly.
Grate story… I remember dirt-weed at 14-15 and being in my glory. Ahh, carefree youth.
I was 16 when I saw them, in Seattle, in Dec. 1987!

This was one of the first Floyd bootlegs I ever downloaded, crappy 192k mp3 most likely of the CD version. When I found this rip of the full vinyl in high Rez I was out of my mind with excitement. This sounds so good! Crank the One if these days to 11 and hold on tight. Thanks for bringing this back into my library

Question regarding the version of Wish You Were Here offered here. I was on discogs looking up some info on this “2011 SPEC. LTD. ED. SACD 24-176.4” version. Is this a 5.1 Surround Sound mix? Apologies for the uber-rookie question, but what would one experience if playing it on “regular” equipment? Is it worth collecting if I don’t have a surround sound setup?

I don’t think it’s the surround sound mix, as it’s just a bunch of high-res FLAC files. It *might* be a flattened version, but usually the text file would say so. The surround mixes I’ve seen have different file extensions. I may be totally wrong, as I do not have a 5.1 playback system, so I generally steer clear of them. The version posted here plays on my *very* basic playback system. And it is currently seeding: as I type this, two people are connected to me, both a little over 43% done.

Wow, I missed this the first time around. Dark Side of the Moon was issued when I was in HS, and enjoyed while experimenting with a few things we all knew and loved. Thanks for bringing back some fine memories.
